There is a Garden Revolution happening around us. The Garden Revolution can be described as the effort to promote engagement with gardening via home or community gardening efforts. At least, that is what it means to me. It will mean different things on an individual level, depending on where you are gardening. The efforts to promote gardening in the school, communities and even at home is on the rise and has been for a few years. However if you notice, the passion for this movement has greatly increased via the internet, gardening magazines and interest in sustainable communities become more popular. It is all around us, we should all be a part of The Garden Revolution.
Efforts to promote healthier eating and healthier living are hot topics right now. Clean eating and knowing where your produce comes from is more important now than ever. Sometimes what we hear and what we read scares us, as we watch things that we used to buy in the stores are now in question from lettuce to fish. What can a person do to increase the knowledge of how to take better control of what goes into the body, our temple??? One way is to grow our own or minimally know where our food is grown or how it is grown. An ongoing conversation for sure and definitely one that needs to be had.
Join Cottage in the Court and Kevin Q, founder of Our journey 120 as we discuss our gardening efforts in Central Prince George’s County, Maryland. Kevin has worms and I have a vision….let’s discuss!!
