Day before I departed ……………

Low Country Groove
Well the South Carolina adventure has begun. Started out in my typical manner of making the wrong turn or today it was getting on the wrong bus. Well fortunately it was the Million Dollar Tour bus and I had a blast. I met a man whose sister was the first Black Cashier in the State of South Carolina. March Showers……April Flowers
I know you have heard similar phrases before…March usher’s in April showers to bring the awesome flowers in May. Well let me tell ya…the daffodils are waving their heads amongst the vinca, gracing the feet of the large oak tree that stands guard over my cottage in the court. The chilly rains have caused the pansies to settle in and prepare to be the stars of the garden as the other plants awaken from their winter’s rest.

Almost April……
All the local garden centers are waiting. Waiting for the weather to cooperate and give us the warm weather that we were teased with a few weeks ago. Alas…..it is not time yet. Not time for the basil seedling’s to set their roots in the soil outside, Not time for the impatiens to brighten up that shady nook. However it is time to order or purchase those last minute seeds. Most seeds require 6-8 weeks

Spring or Not
70% chance of snow on Sunday…Cherry blossoms are itching to put on a show and snow was so NOT predicted. I am in mode folks, went to Ginkgo Gardens today to see what was happening…..2 Cimicifuga’s, 2 Heuchera’s, 1 Leopard’s plant and 1Var. Fallopia later…I was bound for home to garden quickly in the quickly escaping daylight. Needless to say, after walking around to see what was blooming other than the forsythia and hellebore’s…. the sky had dimmed
